International Students
Visas
For International students, you will be REQUIRED to obtain a Non-Immigration 'O' (Volunteer) Visa through the Foundation connected with TheRiver.Asia. You will need to arrange this through the Thai Embassy in your home country. We will assist you in this process and provide required documentation.
If on the event that a Non-Immigrant ‘O’ (Volunteer) Visa is NOT approved, your application to TheRiver.Asia Ministry College will be void. (*Tourist Visas are not accepted).
In limited cases, you may be able to apply for an Education or Work Visa, but you MUST speak with Ministry College leadership prior to applying for these visas.
Fees
The cost of the full internship for students from outside of Thailand is THB 210,000.
The fees for the full internship will include training costs, accommodation, food, and other logistics. This does not include travel to/from Chiang Mai, visa costs, and health/travel insurance.
It is highly advisable that every international student takes out health and travel insurance. Proof of insurance must be provided to TheRiver.Asia Ministry College prior to the commencement of the course. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Scholarships may be available. They are assessed on a case-by-case basis, looking at your current financial circumstances, and your family and church’s ability to contribute to costs.
We never want finance to be the reason that you do not undertake this training program, so encourage you to talk with us if you need support. This will be a ‘faith journey’ for you!
